In the ever-changing landscape of international trade, every adjustment to the export tax rebate policy is like a gust of wind, influencing the development direction of numerous industries. On November 15, 2024, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued a notice on the adjustment of the export tax rebate policy, which has attracted widespread attention from various sectors regarding the export industry. This has brought new changes and challenges to related industries, with different sectors either being impacted or temporarily stabilized, showcasing various development trends.
New changes in export tax rebates
On November 15, 2024, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued a notice adjusting the export tax rebate policy. The details are as follows:
1. The export tax rebate for aluminum, copper, and chemically modified animal, plant, or microbial oils and fats is canceled.
2. The export tax rebate rate for certain refined oil products, photovoltaic products, batteries, and some non-metallic mineral products is reduced from 13% to 9%.
3. This notice will be implemented from December 1, 2024. The applicable export tax rebate rates for the products listed in this notice are defined by the export date indicated on the customs declaration of the exported goods.
